How do I join the RMIT Career Mentoring Program?
The RMIT Career Mentoring Program has three intakes per year.
To join our next intake: complete (i) a Student Application, and (ii) participate in one Onboarding Training sessions.
Once the connection period opens, industry mentors and student mentees will be able to send and receive mentoring requests for a period of 4 weeks. Once student mentees connect with a mentor, the mentoring partnership commences, involving regular meetings for a period of 8 weeks.
Semester 2, 2026 intake:
Applications opens late May 2026, and close 2nd August 2026.
Onboarding sessions held online between 13th July - 7th August.
Partnerships commence in mid July and end in October.
Summer 26-27 intake:
Dates TBA.

How do I get started?
- Complete a Mentee/Student Application form for the next intake.
- Register to attend ONE student onboarding training session.
- We will admit you to the program.
- Once the Connection Period commences, send a request to a mentor of your choice.
- Meet with your industry mentor every week or two during your mentoring partnership to learn and grow!
