Welcome to the School of Health and Biomedical Sciences (SHBS) International Students' Peer Support Program.

Are you a new International Student who is studying Applied Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, Chinese Medicine, Medical Radiations, Medical Physics, Nursing, Pharmacy, Psychology, or Sport Sciences?

Join during the Orientation period to be partnered with a mentor - a senior student leader - who will support you through the first 6 weeks of semester one.

This mentor program is a student-run initiative piloted in 2024, that aims to foster a supportive and welcoming community, for all new international students enrolled within the SHBS. With the support from the program managers and college staff, the program purpose is to help new incoming international students build new skills, meet new people and be welcomed into our community. Mentor group connections can be done remotely or in-person, with meetings plans to be scheduled at times convenient to both mentees and mentors.

One of the greatest values of mentors is the ability to see ahead what others cannot see and to help them navigate a course to their destination. - John C. Maxwell
