This mentoring program at RMIT provides an opportunity for new and current Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to access general and/or cultural career guidance. Mentors and student mentees meet for a minimum of one hour every four weeks during the 12 week program. Registrations are welcome throughout the year and the program will commence in 2018.
For mentors
Mentors have a great opportunity to develop their communication and leadership skills. Mentors also gain new perspectives on solving problems within their own organisation by looking at their work through the mentee’s eyes.
For Mentees
Mentees get personal guidance to help them develop skills outside the classroom, and create their own opportunities to further their career.
